Japanese-style salmon

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon steaks
  • 10 cl soy sauce
  • 10 cl mirin
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 tsp. sesame seeds
  • sunflower oil
  • salt and pepper

 

Preparation

1. Mix the soy sauce, mirin and honey in a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Lower the heat and reduce for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.

2. Place the salmon steaks in a freezer bag and sprinkle with half the sauce. Mix well and marinate for 2 hours.

3. Finely chop the chives.

4. Heat your griddle over a fairly high heat.

5. Drain the salmon. Brush the griddle with a little oil. Place the salmon steaks skin side down and cook until the skin is crispy.

6. Turn the salmon over and cook until the flesh begins to brown.

7. Turn again, brush with a little sauce and put back on the flesh side until the steaks are golden brown. Quickly brown the cives at the same time.

8. Serve the salmon steaks with the remaining sauce and finish off with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
